Founder watchlist

Founder-Coded Opportunities.

A sourced watchlist of hackathons, grants, pitch competitions, accelerators, and founder funding shots with real cash, capital, or concrete access — not generic events and not credit-only perks.

Credit-only perks are intentionally excluded. Cloud/API credits are ignored unless the opportunity also has real cash, investment, grant funding, or concrete founder access. City/county residency-locked microgrants are skipped; this list prioritizes U.S.-wide or nationally accessible opportunities.

Last updated August 29, 2026.

This is a workbench list, not a meetup calendar. I’m tracking application deadlines, grant windows, hackathon submissions, accelerator intakes, and pitch paths where a founder can win cash, capital, non-dilutive funding, or concrete access.

Pilot Small Business Growth Fund Watch

The 2026 Pilot Small Business Growth Fund is closed and recipients have been awarded, but the size of the checks and Hello Alice application path make it worth watching if Pilot repeats the fund.

Prize / benefit: The 2026 fund awarded $250K total: one $50K grant, two $25K grants, and fifteen $10K grants, plus one year of free bookkeeping for each winner.

Eligibility: The 2026 round was open to U.S. business owners age 18+ (19+ in some states) with 2025 revenue between $5K and $5M.

This is watch-only now. The official page positions the fund for businesses ready to scale inventory, equipment, team, margins, locations, or marketing.

    National small business awards contest

    FOX Small Business Awards Watch

A closed-but-notable national small-business awards contest to watch because the official 2026 rules included three real $25K cash prizes and potential national media exposure.

Prize / benefit: Three $25K cash grand prizes, plus potential FOX Business / FOX Nation media visibility at the sponsor’s discretion.

Eligibility: The 2026 official rules opened nominations for eligible U.S.-based, independently owned small businesses operating in the United States.

The 2026 rules are published as a PDF. Media appearances are discretionary, so treat the cash prizes as the concrete benefit and visibility as upside only.
